After Hours Events
Schedule your next private party or corporate event in a setting that is truly Silicon Valley. The Tech Museum of Innovation will dazzle your guests with a host of high-tech interactive exhibits and larger-than-life movies in the Hackworth IMAX® Dome Theater that make traditional ice breakers and mundane meeting rooms obsolete. Make it an affair to remember with dips and microchips, or Kevlar and caviar at Silicon Valley's hottest new attraction.
Facility
The Tech is located on a premier downtown San Jose site, facing Plaza de Cesar Chavez, looking across to the Fairmont Hotel and the San Jose Museum of Art. The Tech contains 132,000 square feet of space, including four exhibit galleries and the Hackworth IMAX® Dome Theater.
Capacity
The Tech can accommodate 25-2500 for receptions and up to 500 for a sit down dinner depending on space(s) used. Exclusive use of the Hackworth IMAX® Dome Theater may also be arranged.
Availability
The Tech is available for evening rental daily from 6 pm to midnight. Closed Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Eve. For reservations, call (408) 795-6221.
The Menu
All food and beverage arrangements, including setup, services and cleanup are arranged by the renter. The Tech's recommended caterer is Cafe Primavera. Contact them for menus and pricing information at (408) 356-4401. A list of preferred caterers is also available.

You may reserve the entire Tech Museum for your event, or a combination of spaces. Fees are based on areas used, and a 50 % deposit of the total rental fee is required to confirm reservations. An additional 30% per hour of the base fee will be charged after the first three hours. Corporate Affiliates at the Sponsoring Level and above are entitled to a 15% discount off the rental fee, and a nonprofit rate is available.
Deposit is refundable if the event is canceled in writing 60 days prior to the event. The balance of the fee is due within 30 days after the event. For reservations, call (408) 795-6221.
